Powell’s Supermarkets have been a member of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG) for almost 25 years. CFIG is a non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and sustainability of independent grocers all across Canada.

CFIG has awarded all three Powell’s Supermarkets as one of the top ten supermarkets to shop in Canada in the past 11 years. This year, our Bay Roberts location received the National Bronze Award for Canadian Independent Grocer of the Year in the medium surface category, and our Harbour Grace location was awarded a Platinum Award distinguishing them for placing within the top ten small surface Supermarkets to shop in Canada for the past ten consecutive years.
